We're Hiring: Risk Officer

Location: City of San Fernando, Pampanga

What You'll Do:

As a Risk Officer, you'll work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to support the Bank's risk oversight efforts and help shape how we manage operational and information security risks. You'll be part of the team that ensures our processes are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Board and senior management in defining and applying the Bank's risk appetite and translating it into practical risk controls.
  • Reviewing and updating risk-related policies, guidelines, and procedures (PGPs).
  • Monitoring compliance with risk management standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting risk assessments for new products, systems, and services.
  • Staying updated on emerging risks, best practices, and regulatory changes—and adapting policies accordingly.
  • Reviewing IT outsourcing contracts and system rollouts to ensure adequate security controls.
  • Helping manage the Bank's information security program, including incident response, training, and regular access reviews.
  • Participating in IT Security Committee (ITSC) meetings and collaborating with teams to address issues or concerns.

What We're Looking For:
  • A graduate of Accountancy, Banking and Finance, or a related course
  • At least 3 years of work experience in banking or financial services, with solid exposure to loans
  • Preferably with risk management experience in a bank or similar financial institution
  • Familiarity with compliance, internal controls, and information security is a big plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational habits
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
