Job Summary:

The Cost Engineer is responsible for the preparation, monitoring, and control of project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports to ensure that all project costs are accurately tracked and maintained within approved limits. This role supports decision-making by providing detailed cost analysis, forecasts, and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Control of Approved Project Budget:

  • Validation of cost-related request items.
  • Recording and monitoring of project expenses and savings including overhead.
  • Re-alignment of project cost as may be required.
  • Projection of project cost at completion and savings.

Validates Contractors' Billing:

  • Checks the completeness of all attachments required.
  • Scrutiny of cost related documents, to ensure that the same is valid to the item/s being billed.

Preparation of Variation Orders:

  • Coordinates with construction team in order to identify possible variation orders.
  • Review of available resources (e.g. drawings, specifications, RFI, etc.) for the preparation of variation order/s.
  • Preparation and submission of detailed cost estimate and other related attachments.
  • Facilitates reconciliation and approval of variation orders.

Report Generation:

  • Generate accurate monthly cost reports and analysis in a consistent and standard format.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures related to cost control.

Control and safekeeping of cost-related documents.

Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Licensed Engineer/Architect is a plus but not required
  • Minimum of 2-years of experience in cost engineering, quantity surveying, or project controls (depending on level)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Php18, Php25,000.00 per month
