About the Role

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced operator who knows how to turn strategy into execution.

As General Manager, you will be the engine of the business,owning day-to-day operations, driving performance across teams and building the systems, structure and culture required to scale.

You will work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to ensure the company grows profitably, efficiently, and sustainably while delivering outstanding outcomes for customers, employees and stakeholders.

What You'll Be Responsible ForStrategic Leadership

  • Partner with the Managing Director and executive team to define and execute long-term strategy
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear operational plans, priorities and KPIs
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support executive and board-level decisions
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to leadership as the business evolves and scales

Operational Excellence

  • Own and optimise end-to-end business operations across all departments
  • Design, implement and refine scalable processes, systems and workflows
  • Drive efficiency, quality and consistency as the company grows
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to ensure operational targets are met or exceeded

People & Culture Leadership

  • Lead, mentor and develop high-performing managers and leadership teams
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Partner with HR on:

Financial & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and internal standards

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Align and integrate operations across Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance and HR
  • Break down silos and ensure smooth communication and execution across teams
  • Support new service, product and market expansion initiatives from an operational standpoint
  • Ensure teams are aligned, informed and executing against shared priorities

Client & Stakeholder Focus

  • Ensure operations consistently deliver a high-quality client experience
  • Act as a senior point of contact for key operational partners and vendors
  • Represent operations in executive, leadership and board-level discussions
  • Balance client satisfaction with operational efficiency and scalability

What We're Looking ForEssential Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in:
  • Operations
  • General Management
  • VP Operations or similar senior roles
  • Proven track record of scaling operations in an SME or enterprise environment
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Financial management
  • KPIs and performance reporting
  • Data-driven decision-making
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing processes, systems and tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required

Highly Regarded Experience

  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
  • BPO / Service Supply
  • Education
  • SaaS or Technology-enabled services
  • Previous experience as a General Manager or VP of Operations
  • MBA or equivalent business/management qualification (nice to have, not essential)
