Job Role: Accounting Data Analyst (Excel & Google Sheets Specialist)

Basic Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze financial data using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
  • Develop and apply advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros to streamline accounting reports.
  • Automate recurring financial templates (e.g., cash flow, expense tracking, budget monitoring).
  • Reconcile and validate data across spreadsheets, accounting software, and financial records.
  • Generate dashboards and visual reports to support management decisions.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Support the Accounting team in audits by organizing and analyzing supporting documents.
  • Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies.
  • Provide training and assistance to accounting staff on spreadsheet best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology (or related field).
  • Strong skills in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, IF statements, nested formulas, conditional formatting).
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in data visualization (charts, dashboards, Google Data Studio, or Power BI) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ERP or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
