Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented SMT Production Supervisor to oversee and manage daily operations at the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly line. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical proficiency in SMT processes, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure seamless production flow and output quality.

Key Responsibilities:

SMT Line Supervision:

  • Supervise the assigned SMT production lines to ensure smooth, uninterrupted workflow and adherence to production schedules.

Experience Requirement:

  • Must have hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of SMT assembly processes, equipment operation (e.g., pick-and-place, reflow ovens, screen printers), and troubleshooting.
  • Production Planning & Optimization:
  • Work closely with the Business Unit Manager to plan production activities, optimizing the use of manpower, equipment, materials, and floor space.
  • Drive improvements in material consumption and efficiency to meet or exceed company standards.

Yield & Output Monitoring:

  • Monitor line performance to ensure maximum yield, minimal losses, and that production targets are achieved in terms of output and delivery timelines.
  • Process & Quality Compliance:
  • Ensure strict implementation and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Manufacturing Instructions (MIs), and Customer Requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Maintenance departments to resolve issues related to processes, materials, quality, and compliance at the earliest possible stage.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvements, initiate corrective/preventive actions, and support Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities on the shop floor.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in SMT assembly operations (required)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good understanding of production planning and control
  • Familiar with IPC standards and ESD requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
