We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Data Encoder to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately encoding financial data into our accounting systems, ensuring timely updates of transactions, and supporting the finance department with data management tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Encode daily financial transactions including invoices, receipts, and purchase orders
  • Maintain and update accounting databases with precision and consistency
  • Verify accuracy of data before entry and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for internal use
  • Coordinate with accounting staff to resolve discrepancies and clarify data entries
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of financial records
  • Support payroll encoding and reconciliation tasks as needed
  • Generate reports such as sales summaries, expense logs, and inventory updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data encoding or accounting support role

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero)
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
