Position Summary

The IT Supervisor is responsible for providing advanced technical support, overseeing IT operations, and leading IT staff to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of company systems and networks. This role involves managing escalations, implementing cybersecurity measures, leading IT projects, and ensuring compliance with data protection standards while continuously improving IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT service desk tickets and escalated concerns
  • Implement and manage cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and data protection policies
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats and recommend proactive mitigation measures
  • Lead and manage IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and technical documentation
  • Oversee data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
  • Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with applicable data protection regulations
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and maintenance of IT assets
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and services to enhance IT operations
  • Mentor and train junior IT staff on best practices and advanced technical skills
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems, software, and IT procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall IT operations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong technical expertise in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
  • Experience supervising or leading IT teams and handling escalations
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and best practices
  • Experience managing IT service desk operations and ticketing systems
  • Strong project management, documentation, and coordination skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company systems and sensitive data
  • Willingness to work onsite and on a shifting schedule

Preferred:

  • Experience with firewalls, antivirus systems, and security monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
  • Familiarity with data protection and information security compliance standards
  • Experience in vendor management and IT asset procurement
  • Background in mentoring or training IT staff and end-users
