JOB OBJECTIVE

Under the supervision of Purchasing Direct PU Section Supervisor or Jr. Supervisor, responsible in executing the day-to-day task, related to the price negotiation and management, new product development, new raw materials and subsidiary material sourcing, and new supplier approval and management for direct suppliers with the objective of keeping an accurate and effective supply chain and assuring accurate and competitive purchase cost.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collects, consolidates and processes data related to new supplier approval
  • Collects, consolidates and processes data for new product development, engineering changes and other product development related endeavors.
  • Prepares, encodes and analyzes supplier and product data which will lead to optimal recommendation for supplier selection.
  • Encodes and process data in SAGE300 and purchase management system (PMS) to produce accurate purchase request and purchase order for on-going projects.
  • Collaborates with internal personnel from other sections or departments and/or external parties to achieve favorable output for on-going projects.
  • Building and maintaining relationship with vendors and suppliers.
  • Addressing vendor performance issues and resolving disputes.
  • Conducting regular supplier performance evaluations.
  • Analyzing costs and expenses related to purchasing activities.
  • Implementing cost-saving measure and strategies.
  • Ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Handling documentation and paperwork related to purchasing activities.
  • Providing updates on purchasing activities to relevant stakeholders.
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to purchasing processes and procedures.
  • Performs other related tasks which may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

  • Graduate of any business course or Industrial engineering.
  • 2-3 years work experience as purchasing
  • Computer Literate
  • Good communication skills both English and Filipino
  • Average to excellent analytical skills
  • Teachable
  • Adaptable to changes
