About Moderna
Moderna is the new refined casual dining concept by Al Dente Food Group, blending Italian tradition with modern creativity. Located in Uptown BGC, Moderna will feature an à la carte menu, curated desserts, and tasting experiences.
We are looking for a Pastry Chef to design and lead the dessert program for Moderna. This is a hands-on role focused on creativity, consistency, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement dessert menu items aligned with Moderna's Italian-modern concept.
- Ensure high-quality preparation, presentation, and consistency of all pastry items.
- Manage pastry production for à la carte, events, and special menus.
- Control food cost, inventory, and wastage in the pastry section.
- Train, supervise, and schedule pastry staff.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and GM on menu engineering and seasonal specials.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards in line with DOH requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years pastry experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Solid background in plated desserts, breads, and Italian-inspired pastry.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of costing and kitchen operations.
- Passion for innovation while respecting classic pastry techniques.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- ₱25,000 monthly salary + Service Charge
