About the role Pastry Chef for Moderna We're looking for an experienced and talented Pastry Chef to join our new restaurant in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. As a full-time Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delectable desserts and baked goods that complement our menu of authentic Italian cuisine. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and passion for pastry in a fast-paced, creative environment. Responsibilities Develop and execute innovative dessert and bakery concepts that align with the restaurant's brand and cuisine Oversee all aspects of pastry production, from recipe development to plating and presentation Ensure consistent quality, taste, and visual appeal of all desserts and baked goods Manage and train the pastry team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain cost controls to drive profitability Collaborate with the kitchen team to seamlessly integrate desserts and baked goods into the dining experience Stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously seek ways to improve and refine the pastry program Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume, fine dining or upscale casual restaurant environment Formal culinary education or training, with a strong foundation in classic and contemporary pastry techniques Excellent baking and plating skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics Ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen team and lead and motivate a pastry team Strong problem-solving and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Passion for using high-quality, fresh ingredients and a commitment to creating exceptional desserts Familiarity with Italian cuisine and pastry traditions is preferred, but not required Benefits At Al Dente Pasta bar, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work experience.
