Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sea Freight Customs Broker specializing in customs clearance in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the efficient and compliant movement of goods through German customs, ensuring adherence to all relevant sea-freight regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sea freight customs procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. Additionally, candidates should be available to work Monday to Friday during Central European Time (CET) to align with our operational requirements.

Responsibilities:

Customs Clearance:

Manage and oversee the customs clearance process for sea freight shipments, ensuring timely and accurate submission of documentation.

Classify goods according to tariff coding and ensure compliance with customs regulations, with a specific focus on the German customs clearance process.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and trade laws related to sea freight.

Advise internal teams on compliance requirements and potential impact on shipments.

Documentation:

Prepare and review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Work closely with clients to obtain necessary information for customs documentation.

Communication:

Collaborate with customs authorities, shipping lines, and other relevant parties to resolve issues and expedite customs clearance.

Provide timely and accurate information to clients regarding the status of their shipments.

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in English.
  • 5 Years of Proven experience as a Customs Broker, with a focus on sea freight.
  • In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and procedures related to sea freight shipments.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
