Philippines Grant Thornton Full time ₱1,200,000 - ₱2,400,000 per year

Roles & Responsibilities

- Will work with financial services clients (i.e asset management, banking or
insurance) to optimize their finance and operational functions, this may include
projects relating to:

  • the financial reporting process, review and remediation of business processes and short-term interim staffing assignments working within a team environment to ensure deadlines are met.
  • accounting for trading and/or investment entities including private equity / debt structures or month end / quarter end reporting
  • regulatory reporting support
  • Work with clients to prepare and review financial statements under IFRS, and Lux and US GAAP.

- Will build a strong relationships with client representatives.

- Liaise with auditors.

- Will promote FAAS both internally and externally.

Qualification & Skills

Required:

  • ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified or equivalent IFAC qualification.
  • 7+ years experience in financial services sector or worked in the top ten auditing firms specialising on financial services industry
  • Proficient accountant, with strong knowledge of either IFRS and Lux and US GAAP
  • Team, people, project and client management (at least 3 years)
  • Strong computer skills – advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite.

Desired:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ERP system experience such as Oracle, Geneva, Investran, Sun, SAP, Workday
  • Ability to learn quickly and keep abreast of Financial Services industry developments
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of accounting and regulatory requirements related to funds, banking, or insurance industry
  • Excellent attention to detail
