SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER

The Senior Accounting Manager oversees the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and strategic alignment with organizational goals. This role involves managing the accounting team, streamlining financial processes, and providing insights to support executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management and Reporting

  1. Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  2. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  3. Develop financial reports and projections to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  1. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analyses with actionable recommendations.
  2. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize financial performance.

Internal Controls and Compliance

  1. Establish, maintain, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  2. Ensure compliance with tax laws, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
  3. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.

Team Leadership

  1. Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development and high performance.
  2. Evaluate team performance and provide regular feedback to enhance productivity.
  3. Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Systems and Process Improvement

  1. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the company's SAP system.
  2. Streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  3. Stay updated on industry trends and recommend innovative solutions for financial management.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting within a real estate industry.

Skills and Competencies

  1. Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  2. In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
