Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
  • With at least 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably with experience in the construction industry or related field. Atleast with 2 yrs Assistant manager/ manager role experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, taxation, BIR, and SEC compliance.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
  • Solid experience in financial reporting, AR/AP management, cash flow monitoring, and payroll review.
  • Experience in month-end and year-end closing of books and coordination with external auditors.
  • Strong understanding of construction project accounting (billings, collections, receivables, and payables).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments.
  • Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Handles the day-to-day business financial and accounting processes and records of the construction.
  2. Process company payables and ensure that the supporting documents are complete and accurate.
  3. Preparation and sending of Billing Statements promptly, AR Aging Report and collection receivables.
  4. Prepares cash flow report and projections.
  5. Performs month-end closing and year-end closing of books.
  6. Responsible for preparing and reporting of monthly financial and management reports and directly reports to the AGMC Head.
  7. Work closely with construction project managers from beginning to end of project to ensure receivables and payables are handles and timely accounted for.
  8. Apply required construction accounting standards and procedures.
  9. Maintain project taxes, licenses, and monitoring reports to ensure timely filing and payment.
  10. Review payroll computation of employees including mandatory deductions.
  11. Facilitates Annual FS and coordinate with external auditor for annual BIR and SEC filing.
  12. Other accounting related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
