About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic team at Square Pharmaceutical, Inc' in Carmona Cavite. As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in our comprehensive procurement and inventory management processes, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of all necessary materials and supplies to support our manufacturing operations. What you'll be doing

  1. Liaise with suppliers to negotiate the best possible terms for the procurement of raw materials, components, and other production-related items
  2. Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement-related documentation
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities, including inventory levels, order status, and supplier performance
  4. Collaborate with production, finance, and logistics teams to optimise inventory levels and ensure the availability of critical materials
  5. Identify and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs and improve overall supply chain efficiency
  6. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  7. Provide regular reports and recommendations to management on purchasing and inventory-related matters

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
  3. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships
  4. Proficient in data analysis, inventory management, and procurement software systems
  5. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  7. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
