Job Title: Cost Accountant

Location: Tektite Tower, Ortigas, Pasig City (Hybrid: Onsite Tues–Thurs; Remote Mon & Fri)

Schedule: 7 AM to 4 PM during onsite

Company: A Leading Filipino Grocery Chain (US-based with offshore office in Manila)

About the Role

We are looking for a Cost Accountant with a solid background in manufacturing or production accounting to join our client's growing offshore finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing, controlling, and reporting costs to ensure accurate product pricing, inventory valuation, and financial efficiency across operations.

Key Responsibilities


• Maintain and analyze cost accounting records for raw materials, labor, and overhead.


• Prepare and review standard cost reports, variance analyses, and cost of goods sold (COGS).


• Monitor and reconcile inventory movements between production, warehouse, and accounting systems.


• Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to production and operational costs.


• Conduct margin and profitability analysis per product, line, or category.


• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.


• Support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all cost-related entries are accurate and timely.


• Participate in process improvement initiatives related to cost tracking and inventory management.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• CPA preferred but not required.


• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing or production environment.


• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.


• Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Sage, or similar).


• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.


• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
