The Cost Accounting Manager will manage, perform and maintain all cost accounting functions, working to ensure that application of cost accounting theory and work with the external auditors to ensure that the cost accounting and reporting adheres to GAAP standards. This role will work and partner with the operations team, to ensure timely and accurate reporting areas under the defined scope of responsibility and to lead or participate in a variety of special projects as needed. Based in the Philippines, this position supports U.S.-based teams and requires the ability to work effectively across different time zones.

Analyze and interpret gross margins, material variances, volume variances, inventory movements and other cost accounting reports, metrics and analysis.

Working with the operations team, monitoring the cycle count process and other inventory related issues.

Review and update material and overhead rates.

Working with the operations team, lead and implement standard cost rollups.

Participate in the maintenance of the internal financial control environment, ensuring accurate financial statements and safeguarding of company assets.

Provide upper management with regular reports on cost, providing visibility into significant fluctuations and activity regarding inventory, product costs, variances, warranty and obsolescence.

Support quarterly and annual audits by the external auditors, including review and explanations of variance fluctuations.

Recommend and implement actions to streamline the inventory process.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Successful track record of effectively interfacing with manufacturing and management, promoting value-added ideas and information to improve profitability.

In-depth experience in analyzing causes of variances and recommending corrective actions.

5 - 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a strong focus on cost accounting.

CPA/CMA a plus.

Attention to details, strong analytical background pertaining to manufacturing variances.

Advance Microsoft Excel skills required.

Strong hands-on experience with an ERP system; Avante and Microsoft Dynamics 365 are pluses.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple time zones (Philippines/U.S.).

Amenable to work on-site (night shift schedule).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php130, Php150,000.00 per month
