Job Description:

Scope of Work/Responsibilities

  1. Data Visualization Design
    : Create visually compelling and informative data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using industry-standard tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or

  2. Data Analysis
    : Collaborate with data analysts to understand the data and provide meaningful insights through visualizations.

  3. Data Extraction, Transformation and Warehousing
    : Build and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines. Design and implement SQL pools and data warehouse schema.

  4. User Experience
    : Design interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports that meet the needs of different stakeholders, making data-driven decision-making accessible to non-technical users.

  5. Data Quality:
    Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data displayed in visualizations by collaborating with the data engineering team.

  6. Storytelling:
    Develop narratives around data visualizations to help stakeholders understand key insights and trends.

  7. Collaboration
    : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and executives, to gather requirements and ensure the successful delivery of data visualization projects.

  8. Research and Innovation
    : Stay up-to-date with data visualization trends and tools and suggest improvements to existing processes.

Requirement and Qualification (Education & Work Experience)

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Data Science, Information Design, or Computer Science.
  • Proven experience (at least 3 years) as a Data Visualization Expert or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as preferably Power BI; and optionally, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
  • Preferably with experience in building and orchestrating ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF). Understands the Medallion Architecture of Data pipelines.
  • Has experience with Azure Databricks in building and orchestrating scalable data transformations using PySpark or Spark SQL. Delta Lake for ACID transactions and schema evolution. Integration with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS).Delta Live Tables (DLT) for declarative ETL pipelines.
  • Has worked with different database technologies such as but not limited to PostgreSQL, Oracle and MS SQL Server.
  • Has worked on CDC (Change Data Capture) integration via ADF, or native PostgreSQL logical replication.
  • Has experience working on event-driven data pipeline triggers and lightweight data transformations and automation scripts like Azure Functions and Logic Apps
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to convey complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation and query languages (SQL, Python, DAX, etc.).
  • Experience in creating data visualizations for large datasets.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
