Full job description

The Safety Officer III will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (BOSH )and other regulatory requirements. The role requires expertise in implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. The candidate must have completed all required certifications and face-to-face training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (BOSH), DOLE requirements, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective measures.
  • Lead and facilitate safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit required safety reports, incident investigations, and compliance documents to management and government agencies.
  • Strictly enforce safety protocols, discipline, and compliance to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to ensure safe work practices.
  • Act as the primary safety representative during DOLE inspections, client audits, and other regulatory reviews.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the organization by providing continuous education and reinforcement of safe practices.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Safety Officer III Certificate and advanced training with proof of completed face-to-face training.
  • At least 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety.
  • Strong knowledge of BOSH and implementation of DOLE standards and safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in developing and enforcing safety programs and incident prevention plans.
  • Good communication, leadership, and training facilitation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, and proactive in ensuring compliance and safety enforcement.
