  2. Conducting regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  3. Providing safety training and education to employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability
  4. Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices
  6. Collaborating with management and cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and drive continuous improvement
  7. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety activities and performance

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the freight/cargo forwarding industry
  2. Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
  3. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  4. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, implementing safety programs, and providing safety training
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  6. Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement
  7. Relevant certifications or training in occupational health and safety would be an advantage.
