Production Packaging Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine plant status at the start and end of shift by gathering production and operating information.
  • Confirm status of assigned work and ensure smooth handover to the next shift.
  • Identify abnormalities or unresolved problems for escalation to higher levels.
  • Manage dispatch planning by scheduling manpower and material effectively.
  • Determine material requirements based on trends and experience.
  • Guarantee adherence to planned electrical power consumption.
  • Control shipping and packing equipment to ensure sufficient bags and products.
  • Review packaging operations to optimize manpower and storage.
  • Monitor production targets, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and oversee packaging equipment such as roto-packing machines, escalating issues if necessary.
  • Manage subcontractors including specification setting, supervision, and follow-up.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance in all packaging operations.
  • Complete all documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Record abnormalities and unresolved issues in shift reports.
  • Summarize and share production information with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate SAP inputs and inventory updates for finished goods and BOM.
  • Identify situations for minor repairs to be handled by production, escalating major issues.
  • Complete walk-by inspection checklists properly and consistently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in packaging operations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and environmental policies.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Good leadership and people management skills; team player.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP.

Technical Competencies (A)

  • Knowledge of mechanical parts and packaging equipment.
  • Proficient in Human Machine Interface (HMI) and parameter settings.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
  • Familiar with inspection processes and large machine operation

Soft Skills (B)

  • Experienced in people management and team coordination.
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety standards.
  • Ability to work in harsh environments.
  • Experience in operating automatic rotating packaging machines (advantage).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
