Job Description

I. JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining the records associated with the incoming and outgoing finances of the company.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ACCOUNTING OPERATIONS

  1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.

  2. Monitor and analyses accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

ACCOUNTING METHODS AND POLICIES

  1. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.

  2. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

AUDIT AND COMPLIANCE

  1. Coordinate and complete annual audits.

  2. Meet financial accounting objectives.

WORKFORCE PLANNING

  1. Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.

RECORDS MANAGEMENT

  1. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

MONTHLY REPORTORIALS

  1. Prepares periodic reports required by government on a timely and organized manner.

  2. Prepares month and end year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.

  3. Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
