ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - ADVANCED MYOB WITH AU BIZ BACKGROUND
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role supports the finance team by managing daily accounting tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts and maintaining financial records to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily creditor activities, including invoice processing and data entry.
- Conduct daily and weekly payment runs to ensure timely disbursements.
- Oversee broker trail and upfront commission payments.
- Maintain supplier records in MYOB and ProSpend, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Verify supplier bank account details to prevent fraudulent transactions.
- Process staff expense claims and manage corporate card transactions efficiently.
- Ensure electronic filing systems are up to date and maintained systematically.
- Reconcile vendor statements, promptly addressing and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage end-of-month (EoM) cost accruals.
- Perform daily banking tasks and reconcile bank accounts for allocated entities.
- Investigate and resolve any unknown or unusual transactions.
- Finalize accounting books for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheets for designated entities.
- Post end-of-month (EoM) journals as part of the closing process.
- Provide administrative and financial support as needed.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
- Experience with accounting software (MYOB Advanced preferred).
- Familiarity with expense management software and corporate card management (Prospend experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
