SERVICE TECHNICIAN – Job Description

Position Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnostic checks, troubleshooting, and basic repairs of equipment and systems. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical work to support technical service tasks, ensure safe and efficient operations, and maintain accurate documentation of all service activities.

Key Responsibilities1.

Technical Services & Troubleshooting Support

  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic checks, and basic electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment and systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing technical problems and implement appropriate solutions with guidance from senior technicians.
  • Complete assigned service tasks promptly and accurately, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all services performed, including work orders, checklists, and equipment status reports.
  • Ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools, instruments, and testing equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols, electrical standards, and company guidelines at all times.

2. Customer Support & Communication

  • Assist in providing on-site technical support to clients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Communicate service findings, updates, and needed repairs clearly to customers when required.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Supervisor regarding job schedules, parts needs, and follow-up tasks.

3. Tools, Materials & Inventory Management

  • Use electrical testing tools and standard repair equipment safely and correctly.
  • Report any tool defects, damages, or shortages immediately.
  • Support in monitoring parts and materials used during service operations.

4. Team Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with senior technicians during complex electrical repairs and installations.
  • Participate in training programs, product orientations, and skill-upgrading sessions.
  • Cooperate with team members to meet daily and monthly service targets.
