CNC Machine Operator

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order;

  2. Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures;

  3. Monitor the feed and speed of machine during the machining process;

  4. Maintain, clean and lubricate machines, tools and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains and foreign matter before and after each shift;

  5. Observe and listen to operating machine to diagnose malfunction and to determine need for adjustment or repair during every procedure to ensure optimum running. Consult with maintenance personnel prior to any action taken;

  6. Calibrate machines at the end of each shift;

  7. Dismantle machines using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts when needed;

  8. Troubleshoot problems during machine operation. Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools. Consult with maintenance personnel prior to any action taken;

  9. Ensure that regular and preventive maintenance procedures are carried out;

  10. Perform random tests to ensure accuracy;

  11. Perform safety checks on every machine;

  12. Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output;

  13. Ensure stocks of needed material are ready and available at all times;

  14. Layout, measure and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts;

  15. Create and maintain activity logs; and

  16. Provide progress report to supervisors.

  17. Other duties and responsibilities that maybe assign from time to time

Job Specifications

· Education Requirements

College level or Vocational Diploma with TESDA Certification

· Work Experience

At least two (2) years in Steel Fabrication

· Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of relative safety standards

· Traits

Integrity and professionalism, flexible, and trustworthy.
