Civil Engineering Support Officer (Consulting & Claims)

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Support Officer to join our consulting team. This role is ideally suited to a civil engineer or construction professional with strong technical foundations and a keen interest in forensic analysis, expert reporting, and construction claims.

The Role

This position provides critical technical and analytical support to Client's consultants and expert witnesses. The role sits behind expert reports and claims, focusing on the review, interpretation, and presentation of construction records rather than site delivery.

You will work with drawings, photographs, schedules, and large datasets to develop project chronologies, technical summaries, and data-driven insights that support commercial advice, claims, and dispute resolution processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse construction drawings, design documentation, site records, photographs, and correspondence
  • Interpret Excel-based datasets and produce structured data tables and summaries (and graphs where required)
  • Prepare detailed project chronologies, identifying key events, critical dates, and periods of impact
  • Assist with drafting technical narratives and appendices for expert reports and claims
  • Apply strong on-site construction knowledge to explain what project records demonstrate
  • Support analysis for variations, extensions of time, disruption, and acceleration claims
  • Maintain well-organised document and data libraries to support ongoing matters

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

  • 5+ years' experience in construction, civil engineering, and/or construction claims
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of on-site construction practices, sequencing, and methodologies
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience handling large and complex datasets
  • High standard of written communication, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and logically
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined, analytical approach to work

Desirable:

  • Experience in a commercial advisory, consulting, claims, or dispute resolution environment
  • Exposure to delay analysis, productivity analysis, or forensic review of project records
  • Experience supporting expert reports or working with legal or claims teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php70, Php80,000.00 per month
