About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated, and tech-savvy Virtual Assistant (VA) to provide essential support to an American professional speaker. This is a crucial, long-term contractor position requiring a dedicated individual based in the Philippines who can work remotely and communicate effectively across time zones.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, proactive, and capable of managing diverse tasks to ensure the speaker's business runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The VA will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Scheduling and Calendar Management: Managing the speaker's complex calendar, coordinating meetings, travel arrangements (when necessary), and tracking deadlines.
  • Marketing and Social Media Support: Assisting with content scheduling, social media content creation (using tools like Canva), ability to edit short videos for social media, monitoring engagement, and basic platform management (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Administrative Tasks: Organizing digital files, handling email correspondence, preparing basic reports.
  • Customer/Client Communication: Drafting professional communication with clients, event organizers, and vendors on behalf of the speaker.
  • Find Qualified Leads: Research and identify potential speaking opportunities, event planners, associations, and organizations that align with the speaker's target audiences. Compile accurate contact information, track leads in an organized system, and support outreach efforts by maintaining updated lists and notes. The VA will not be responsible for selling, but will assist in identifying and preparing high-quality leads for follow-up.
  • Bookkeeping Assistance (Non-Accounting Role): Provide administrative support related to bookkeeping, including organizing receipts, tracking expenses, logging income, and ensuring records are up to date. This role does not include tax filing, payroll, or financial advising.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Exceptional English Fluency: Must possess strong written and verbal English skills for professional communication and content editing.
  • Contractor Status: The person hired will be paid as and considered an independent contractor.
  • Essential Equipment: Must have your own reliable, high-speed internet connection, a functioning computer/laptop, and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
  • Proactive and Professional: A high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Virtual Assistant, Executive Assistant, or in a similar administrative role is a significant advantage.
Compensation and Terms
  • Pay Rate: $3.00 to $5.00 USD per hour, dependent upon relevant experience and demonstrated skills.
  • Payment: Will be made via an agreed-upon platform (to be discussed during the hiring process).
  • Hours: Flexible but must be available for meetings or communication during core American business hours as needed.
