About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join a US-based accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in preparing both personal and corporate tax returns, with hands-on experience using US tax preparation software. Familiarity with Drake Software is a big plus. This is a full-time, fully remote position that requires working US business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file accurate and timely personal and corporate tax returns
  • Review financial records, statements, and documentation to ensure compliance with US federal and state tax regulations
  • Organize and maintain client tax information in an efficient and confidential manner
  • Utilize tax preparation software to complete returns (Drake experience strongly preferred)
  • Communicate with clients and the accounting team to gather missing information and resolve discrepancies
  • Stay up to date with changes in US tax laws and regulations
  • Assist with tax planning strategies and provide support during audits as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA or CTT certification highly preferred
  • Proven experience preparing both personal and corporate tax returns in the US
  • Proficiency in US tax preparation software; Drake Software experience highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US federal and state tax laws and filing requirements
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to work US business hours (night shift PH time)
  • 100% Remote
