Major Function

Responsible for the management of the quality control department, ensuring the systems and procedures operated within the company move towards the requirements of accredited government agencies and customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Will work closely with the suppliers, logistics, operations and mechanical to create data collection techniques for control of supplied products and services.

  2. Create quality technical specifications for suppliers; audit their quality procedures, control complaints and return authorizations.

  3. Will work with the design team per company and participate in product change control activities, devise and ensure implementation of quality plans within component drawings, and assist with the plant managers and supervisors in ensuring our products comply with the relevant regulatory standards.

  4. Ensures that quality procedures are documented.

  5. Implementation and performance management of all sections against their quality procedures and through the completion of quality audits.

  6. Compile quality control reports, create statistical process control metrics, manage non conformity material discrepancy reports, recommend continuous improvement activities.

  7. Prepare quarterly summaries of quality issues for the managers for presentation to the Board of Directors (BOD).

  8. Ensure appropriate calibration of equipment.

  9. Responsible for the NMIS permits, sanitary permits, and other accreditation renewals.

  10. Ensures that storage and reefer vans temperature are within the required standards.

  11. Will ensure compliance with systems, procedures and adhered policies of the company.

  12. Conducts audits to monitor compliance of plant, storage, suppliers and toll processors on GMP, GOP and food safety standards.

  13. Monitors effectiveness of quality and food safety programs-Processing, Distribution, Storage, Handling, HACCP.

  14. Conducts audit to monitor compliance to standards to safety and wholesomeness.

  15. Conducts audit to monitor conformance to standards of raw materials and packaging materials, work-in-process and finished products.

  16. Cascades GMP, GOP training during sectional meetings.

  17. Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must have experience as QA in food handling industry or any related field.

  • Must be able to work with a team/independence and take direction.

  • Must be keen and pay great attention to detail

  • He/She works under minimal supervision
