Job Summary:

The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project documentation in a construction environment. This includes ensuring accuracy, quality control, and timely distribution of documents to relevant project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing documents (technical drawings, contracts, submittals, RFIs, permits, etc.)
  • Maintain document logs, register and track revisions in accordance with the project document control procedures.
  • Ensure that all documentation is correctly labeled, filed, and accessible to project teams.
  • Distribute documents and drawings to internal departments, consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Control versions and ensure only the latest revisions are being used.
  • Support engineering and site teams by retrieving and providing relevant documentation.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Archive project documents physically and electronically at the end of the project.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC and project managers to ensure compliance with document standards.
  • Prepare reports on documentation status as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a document control role, preferably in construction or engineering firms.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Familiarity with document management systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
