We're hiring a Credit Analyst for a well-established Australian company, responsible for assessing and reviewing client loan applications to ensure accurate, timely decisions. You'll work closely with brokers to evaluate financial information, identify risks, and support the loan approval process. This role plays a key part in streamlining workflows, maintaining compliance, and enabling clients to achieve their financial goals with confidence.

What You'll Do

You'll be the kind of person who:

  • Assess and review loan applications to confirm that recommended products align with client objectives and requirements.
  • Conduct detailed loan serviceability calculations to evaluate a client's ability to meet repayment obligations.
  • Analyse client financial information, including assets, liabilities, income, living expenses, and commitments, to determine serviceability and repayment capacity.
  • Review credit and fraud reports, bank statements, and other supporting documents to identify risks and validate application accuracy.
  • Verify identity and income documentation while ensuring all required records are complete and compliant.
  • Prepare clear, detailed loan summary notes outlining key aspects of applications for review and approval.
  • Structure mortgage loans in line with client goals, lending criteria, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with brokers and financial professionals to optimise mortgage solutions for clients.
  • Coordinate with loan processors by passing on approved applications and documentation for further handling.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of client interactions, loan details, and progress within CRM software (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Provide timely updates to clients and internal teams on application status and next steps.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Credit Analyst or in a related financial services role, with deep expertise in Australian mortgage products, policies, and lending practices.
  • Experience working closely with brokers, with a clear understanding of their processes and common pain points.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct loan serviceability calculations, interpret financial data, and align solutions with client objectives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to minimise errors and ensure accuracy in documentation and processing.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple loan applications and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionally with clients, brokers, and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms such as HubSpot, along with lender servicing calculators and other loan processing systems.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • HMO, Dental, and Life Insurance for you and one free dependent from day one (with the option to enroll additional dependents)
  • Paid Leaves: Birthday, Vacation, Medical, and Maternity (up to 6 Vacation Leaves are convertible to cash on your anniversary)
  • Employee Engagement Activities: Year-End Party, Family Day, Team Building, and more
