About the role

Starland International School, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic finance team. This full-time role will be based in East Kamias, Quezon City, Metro Manila and will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial well-being of our growing educational institution.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to maintain the integrity of the school's financial records
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the finance team to identify and implement process improvements
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support the school's decision-making
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory bodies as needed
  • Mentor and train junior members of the accounting team

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting supervisory or management role, preferably within the education or service industry
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial reporting tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Thorough knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team
  • CPA certification or equivalent is preferred
