About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Accounting Supervisor to join Isetann Department Store team in Recto, Manila City, Metro Manila. As the General Accounting Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial accounting and reporting processes for our organisation. This is a full-time position that offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies
  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the accounting/finance function
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  • CPA certification is preferred, but not required
