As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the management and optimization of our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, ephemeral environments, and production platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of systems across the company. Your ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and your passion for automation and continuous improvement will be essential to driving the team's success.

Platform Development & Automation: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate platform infrastructure provisioning and deployment, ensuring seamless integration with development workflows and operational scalability.

  1. Operational Excellence: Own the operational health and performance of both production and pre-production environments. Ensure platform availability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency by regularly monitoring platform health metrics and optimizing resources.
  2. Ephemeral Environment Management: Build, maintain and support ephemeral environments for development, testing, and QA. Automate provisioning and decommissioning of these environments to ensure efficient use of resources and to minimize operational overhead.
  3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, development, and product teams to ensure platform services are aligned with development needs. Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and enhance collaboration throughout the development lifecycle.
  4. Performance Monitoring & Incident Response: Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) to monitor platform performance and quickly respond to incidents, leading root cause analysis, resolving performance issues, and implementing preventative measures.
  5. Security & Compliance: Ensure platform infrastructure adheres to security policies and compliance standards. Collaborate with security teams to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, proactively implementing fixes and introduce new tools or methodologies to enhance team performance and platform reliability.
  6. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain high-quality documentation for platform processes, including contribution guides, incident handling procedures, and operational best practices. Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  7. Mentorship: Support the development of junior engineers by providing guidance and mentorship in technical skills, troubleshooting methodologies, and platform engineering best practices.
  8. Platform Optimization: Regularly assess platform infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction, ensuring the platform remains efficient, scalable, and responsive to business needs.
  9. Process Improvement & Innovation: Champion the adoption of best practices, CI/CD tools, and automation frameworks to drive continuous improvements in platform engineering processes.
