We are a growing U.S.-based trucking company looking for a reliable After-Hours Dispatcher to join our remote operations team. This role is critical to keeping our trucks moving smoothly outside regular business hours. You will monitor drivers, assist with issues on the road, update load information, and communicate with brokers, repair shops or customers as needed.

WORKING HOURS WILL BE 6PM-2AM USA central time.

Responsibilities

-Monitor and communicate with drivers after-hours via phone, SMS, and ELD system

-Handle emergency calls (breakdowns, delays, issues at shippers/receivers)

-Update load statuses in the TMS system

-Respond to broker emails and load board inquiries

-Verify PODs and upload documents as needed

-Coordinate with day shift dispatch for smooth handovers

-Additional tasks based on business needs

Requirements

-1+ year experience in dispatching or trucking operations (preferred)

-Fluent in English (written and verbal)

-Comfortable working U.S. time zones

-Ability to multitask and work under pressure

-Solid understanding of truck maintenance basics and equipment terminology

-Working knowledge of ELD systems (Samsara, Motive, etc.) (preferred)

-Strong communication skills with both drivers and freight brokers

-Familiar with industry terminology, freight processes, and time-sensitive communication

-Ability to think critically and solve problems independently

-Experience using TMS platforms (preferred)

-Reliable, high-speed internet connection with minimal downtime

-Well-performing computer

-Quiet, professional home workspace

-Please walk us through how you would search for a nearby repair shop or roadside assistance provider in such situations.

We use a TMS (Transportation Management System) to track and manage loads. (Optional to include in video

-What systems have you worked with, and how confident are you in updating statuses and ensuring accuracy?

This role requires a good, stable internet connection, a strong and reliable computer setup with no interruptions in power or internet during your shift.
