Job description:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Site Origination & Land Acquisition

  2. Identify and evaluate potential sites for renewable energy development using mapping tools, resource data, and market intelligence.

  3. Assess key site feasibility criteria including land availability, grid access, topography, and environmental constraints.
  4. Negotiate land lease, option, or purchase agreements with landowners and stakeholders.
  5. Develop and maintain positive long-term relationships with landowners, local communities, and regional authorities.
  6. Maintain a comprehensive pipeline database of potential and secured project sites.

  7. Permitting & Regulatory Compliance

  8. Lead and manage the permitting process for renewable energy projects through coordination with planning consultants, environmental experts, and legal advisors.

  9. Prepare and submit permit applications (planning, zoning, environmental impact assessments, grid connection, etc.).
  10. Engage with local, regional, and national authorities to ensure smooth permitting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  11. Monitor legislative and policy developments that could impact project development timelines and requirements.
  12. Address and resolve permitting challenges or objections raised by authorities or communities.

  13. Business Development & Market Strategy

  14. Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's renewable energy portfolio across target markets.

  15. Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and policy incentives.
  16. Collaborate with technical, engineering, and finance teams to assess commercial and technical viability of identified projects.
  17. Prepare investment cases, business proposals, and presentations for internal approval and external partners.
  18. Support partnership development with other developers, EPCs, and investors

  19. Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  20. Coordinate early-stage project development, ensuring that land, permitting, and grid requirements are aligned.

  21. Maintain close communication with internal teams to ensure timely project handover to construction or investment phases.
  22. Represent the company in meetings with municipalities, government agencies, and local communities.

Foster transparent communication and positive engagement with all stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in renewable energy development, business development, or land acquisition, with proven experience managing permitting processes.

    -Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind, battery storage), project lifecycles, and permitting frameworks.
  • Proven success in originating, securing, and advancing projects from concept to ready-to-build stage.
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with land law, environmental regulations, and local planning frameworks.
  • Proficiency in GIS mapping tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and regional offices.
