Position Title: Product Development Officer

Location: Quezon City

Department: Product Development

Reports To: Head of Product Development/Chief Product Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Product Development Officer to join our skincare brand. This role will focus on the development of innovative skincare products from concept through to commercialization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, research and development (R&D), manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure the successful launch of new products that align with market needs and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Development Strategy:
• Lead the development of new skincare products, from ideation to formulation and final launch.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and competitor products.
• Collaborate with R&D to create formulations that meet the brand's quality, safety, and efficacy standards.
• Assist in the creation of product roadmaps and timelines for development and launch.
• Formulation and Testing:
• Work closely with R&D teams to ensure product formulations meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the testing phase for new products, ensuring they pass all necessary safety and efficacy evaluations.
• Monitor and review product performance data, adjusting formulations or

strategies as necessary.

• Product Positioning and Branding:
• Collaborate with marketing teams to define the positioning and messaging for new skincare products.
• Assist in creating the product's value proposition, ensuring that it aligns with the brand's image and customer expectations.
• Provide product knowledge to the marketing and sales teams to effectively promote the product.
• Regulatory Compliance (QA/QC):
• Stay up to date with skincare product regulations and ensure that all products meet relevant industry standards, including safety, labeling, and claims.
• Coordinate with the legal team to ensure all product claims are substantiated and compliant with regulations.
• Product Launch & Lifecycle Management (MARKETING):
• Coordinate with marketing and sales to support the successful launch of new skincare products.
• Manage product lifecycle, including monitoring product performance, making adjustments to improve product offerings, and discontinuing underperforming products.
• Reporting & Documentation (DEMAND PLANNER):
• Maintain thorough documentation of the product development process, from concept to final product.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on product development progress.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in skincare product development or a similar role in the cosmetic/beauty industry.
• Strong understanding of skincare ingredients, formulation, and product testing processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements for skincare products.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and solution-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can start ASAP

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in natural or organic skincare product development.
• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape of global skincare markets (e.g., EU, FDA, etc.).
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in skincare formulation and packaging.
