Position: Technical Operations Manager

Work Setup: Mon to Fri – Onsite, Sat - Remote

The Technical Operations Manager oversees the end-to-end performance of the After-Sales Service and Preventive Maintenance division, ensuring smooth technical operations, high-quality service delivery, and effective equipment upkeep. You'll lead cross-functional collaboration across departments to align technical capabilities with customer xpectations and operational demands.

Job Description:

After-Sales & Technical Service Management

  • Head the Technical team, ensuring timely and effective installation, maintenance, repairs, and client support for machines.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for installed equipment to minimize downtime and enhance equipment longevity.

Preventive Maintenance Oversight

  • Implement standardized checklists and routines for preventive maintenance.
  • Record and monitor maintenance history, equipment performance, and service metrics.

Team Leadership & Safety

  • Lead and mentor field service technicians, dispatch coordinators, and contractors.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards during technical work and site visits.

Cross-Departmental Support

  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Admin teams to prioritize service work, parts availability, and escalation handling.
  • Work with Finance for cost tracking and budget planning related to parts, service tools, and maintenance contracts.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity
  • Identify trends in service calls, breakdown causes, and drive process or technical improvements.
  • Provide monthly reports covering response times, service quality, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Perform other related duties to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), or a related technical field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years in technical operations, service management, or maintenance - preferably in machinery, equipment, or industrial services.
  • Proven leadership in managing field teams, maintenance programs, and direct customer service.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical aptitude with maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and team coordination.
  • Process-oriented with strong planning and analytical skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Physical fitness for technical fieldwork.
