Compute Operations Analyst

Onsite – Cebu

Shifting Schedule | Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a Compute Operations Analyst who will support, monitor, and maintain our cloud, virtualization, and server environments. The role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience across multiple platforms, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operations environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support across Azure or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Oracle).
  • Handle VMware administration (5.5 or higher).
  • Perform Unix/Linux/Windows server administration and troubleshooting.
  • Support automated job scheduling tools (CA-ESP or Stonebranch preferred).
  • Monitor systems using various tools (BMC Patrol, Introscope, SiteScope, Tivoli, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot issues across applications such as WebSphere, MQ, Java, Informix, DB2, Oracle DB, etc.
  • Create and maintain scripts (C-Shell, K-Shell); basic HTML/web design is a plus.
  • Perform root cause analysis and ensure rapid service restoration.
  • Work across multiple platforms: Network, Mainframe, Tandem.
  • Document processes and provide clear technical instructions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred).

  • 2–4 years experience in:

  • Azure or similar cloud environments

  • VMware (5.5+)
  • Unix/Linux administration
  • Experience using automated scheduling tools (CA-ESP/Stonebranch preferred).
  • Strong understanding of system management and monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident management skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Retail industry experience is a plus.
