About the role

Goldridge Construction is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Orion Bataan. As a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a variety of heavy machinery and equipment used in our operations. This is an essential role that plays a crucial part in ensuring our fleet remains in top condition to support our business objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, cranes, and loaders
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and safety checks
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on heavy equipment
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure equipment is serviced and available as required
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues to minimise equipment downtime
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of junior mechanics as needed

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, preferably in the Automotive Trades industry
  • Extensive knowledge of the maintenance and repair of a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to quickly diagnose and fix equipment problems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety and quality
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certification in heavy equipment mechanics
