Job Summary:

The Motorpool Head is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the company's fleet, including heavy equipment and vehicles. This role ensures all machinery and vehicles are in optimal working condition, manages the motorpool team, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, and enforces safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Management:

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of all company vehicles and heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, loaders, graders, bulldozers, dump trucks).
  • Maintain an updated inventory and tracking system for all fleet assets.
  • Schedule and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

Personnel Supervision:

  • Lead and supervise mechanics, drivers, equipment operators, and motorpool staff.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide training and ensure adherence to company maintenance and safety standards.

Maintenance Planning & Documentation:

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules based on manufacturer recommendations and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and incident logs.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

  • Monitor fuel usage, parts procurement, and service costs.
  • Recommend cost-effective strategies for fleet utilization and maintenance.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment comply with government regulations, safety standards, and licensing requirements.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols for vehicle use and repair activities.

Vendor & Supplier Coordination:

  • Liaise with external service providers, parts suppliers, and equipment manufacturers.
  • Evaluate and select vendors for quality and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in fleet or motorpool management, with strong exposure to heavy equipment operations.
  • Proven leadership experience in supervising technical teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of heavy machinery, vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficient in fleet management software and MS Office tools.
  • Valid driver's license (preferably with a license to operate heavy equipment).
  • Amenable to work or relocate in Orion, Bataan

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40, Php60,000.00 per month
