Community Insights Manager

Role Purpose
To build and nurture an authentic, engaged community of teacher-learners and create a space where teachers feel heard, supported, and inspired to grow with technology.
The Community Insights Manager ensures that every online conversation leads to understanding teachers better and using these insights to shape WayMaker's programs, training design and learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Community Engagement
- Manage regular conversations in WM's Facebook page and/or private group; ensuring an environment of empathy, curiosity, and belonging.
- Initiate meaningful discussions around teaching challenges, tech adoption, classroom experiences, and other relevant timely topics.
- Respond to teacher inquiries and comments with warmth and helpfulness (not sales intent).
- Design light community activities (polls, question prompts, shoutouts, etc.) that encourage organic sharing.
2. Insight Generation
- Capture recurring themes, needs, and sentiments expressed by teachers on a weekly basis.
- Translate these into actionable insights for WM's curriculum, product development, actual training experience and other relevant engagement or touch points to have.
- Prepare weekly community pulse reports: what teachers are talking about, what they need, what excites or frustrates them.
3. Community Growth
- Support the transition of the teacher database from email lists to an interactive online community.
- Onboard new members and ensure they understand the purpose and values of the WM community.
- Coordinate with the Program Manager to integrate event feedback, post-training discussions, and success stories into community conversations.
4. Collaboration
- Work closely with the Program team to align communication tone and themes.
- Attend selected training sessions or immersion programs to stay familiar with the teacher experience and language.
Qualifications
- Deep empathy for teachers and the education ecosystem
- Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Naturally curious; able to read between the lines of what people say and don't say
- Organized and data-minded; capable of turning qualitative chatter into insight
- Proficient in managing Facebook Business Pages and Groups.
Knows how to use moderation tools, insights, scheduling, post approvals, and Messenger features to ensure smooth and enjoyable community experiences
- Comfortable experimenting with new community tools and formats (polls, lives, watch parties, post tags, etc.)
