WHAT IS A FINANCE OFFICER?

Our awesome client, a prominent produce supply chain based in Australia is looking for a Finance Officer to be part of their team.

  • The primary purpose of this role is the provision of finance and administration services to the national business, with a core focus on the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables functions.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?

Accounts Payable

  • Inputting of creditor invoices into Concur & Ironbark in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensuring appropriate approvals are received before passing invoices for payment
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements and following up on queries
  • Preparing payments to suppliers ensuring accounts are kept within terms

Freight Accounting

  • Ensure freight invoices are accurately recorded at a consignment level where possible.
  • Ensure inbound freight is recovered from growers where applicable.

Accounts Receivable

  • Accurate receipting of payments received from commercial and export customers
  • Assisting is debtor query and claims resolution to ensure prompt payment

Other

  • Pricing of intercompany Lancaster Farm sales invoices

General

  • Accepts direction from managers and works effectively within a team environment, is supportive of other team members, and actively contributing to team meetings and discussions.
  • Complies with the policies and procedures of the company and acts within authority levels.
  • Demonstrates and uses advanced interpersonal, communication skills including business level literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Any other tasks incidental to or in connection with any of the above.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 5+ years of experience in general accounting functions
  • Experience in supplier/vendor management, imports, and exports
  • Experience in supplier and bank reconciliation
  • Preferably with experience in Australian or International accounting
  • Preferably with a background in Freight
  • Preferably with experience in the retail, merchandising, or food industries
  • Open to work onsite in Ortigas
