Junior Product Owner

The Junior Product Owner role is centered on establishing the foundational framework for product development and delivery across multiple digital products and projects under Sageware Solutions. This entry-level position offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals breaking into the tech industry who are seeking rapid growth and hands-on experience in product management. Working directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will learn to shape product strategy, define requirements, and support the delivery of solutions that create real value for users and stakeholders. This position will build critical skills in product ownership—from backlog management and stakeholder communication to data-driven decision making and agile methodologies. The Junior Product Owner is expected to demonstrate strong learning agility, take ownership of assigned tasks, and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of our product development processes.

General Details

• Schedule Requirements
  : Philippine Working Hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM PHT) with flexibility for occasional meetings with internal/external stakeholders.
• Work Arrangement
  : Primarily remote with occasional onsite activities for team building, strategic planning sessions, and key stakeholder meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and prioritizing product backlogs across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
• Build from the ground up
  : Help establish product documentation standards, user story templates, and acceptance criteria frameworks for consistent delivery across all Sageware Solutions products.
• Collaborate with development teams to define, refine, and communicate product requirements through user stories, wireframes, and specifications.
• Support user research initiatives and gather feedback to identify pain points, validate assumptions, and inform product decisions.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to ensure smooth delivery and continuous improvement of product development processes.
• Create and maintain product documentation, release notes, and feature guides for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Monitor product metrics, user behavior data, and market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancement and optimization.
• Proactively identify process improvements and contribute fresh ideas to enhance product value and team efficiency.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year experience
  in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role; fresh graduates with relevant internships, bootcamp certificates, or strong portfolios are highly encouraged to apply.
• Strong Plus
  : Experience with agile methodologies, user research, wireframing tools, or any startup/tech company exposure.
• Technical Requirements
  : Basic proficiency in product management tools (Jira, Trello, or similar), fundamental understanding of APIs and web technologies, and working knowledge of documentation tools (Confluence, Notion, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, accept feedback constructively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
