Product Owner

The Product Owner role is centered on establishing the foundational framework for product development and delivery across multiple digital products and projects under Sageware Solutions. This entry-level position offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals breaking into the tech industry who are seeking rapid growth and hands-on experience in product management. Working directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help shape product strategy, define requirements, and drive the delivery of solutions that create real value for users and stakeholders. This position will build critical skills in product ownership—from backlog management and stakeholder communication to data-driven decision making and agile methodologies. The Product Owner is expected to demonstrate strong learning agility, take ownership of product outcomes, and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of our product development processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize product backlogs across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
• Build from the ground up
  : Assist in establishing product documentation standards, user story templates, and acceptance criteria frameworks for consistent delivery across all Sageware Solutions products.
• Collaborate with development teams to define, refine, and communicate product requirements through user stories, wireframes, and specifications.
• Conduct user research and gather feedback to identify pain points, validate assumptions, and inform product decisions across different market segments.
• Run the ceremonies, particularly sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to ensure smooth delivery and continuous improvement of product development processes.
• Create and maintain product roadmaps, release plans, and feature documentation for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Analyze product metrics, user behavior data, and market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancement and optimization.
• Work closely with engineers,
  UX/UI designers,
  and QA teams to ensure product features meet quality standards and user expectations.
• Support senior product leadership in stakeholder management, including preparing presentations, demos, and status updates for clients and executives.
• Proactively identify process improvements and contribute innovative ideas to enhance product value and team efficiency.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience
  in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role; fresh graduates with relevant internships or strong portfolios are encouraged to apply.
• Strong Plus
  : Experience with agile methodologies, user research, wireframing tools, or any startup/tech company exposure.
• Technical Requirements
  : Proficiency in product management tools (Jira, Trello, or similar), basic understanding of APIs and web technologies, and intermediate skills in documentation tools (Confluence, Notion, etc.).
• Schedule Requirements
  : Standard Philippine working hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM PHT) with flexibility for occasional meetings with international stakeholders.
