Key Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Preparation:
  • Prepare and serve coffee and espresso-based drinks according to company recipes and customer preferences.
  • Steam and froth milk to create lattes, cappuccinos, and other specialty drinks.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in every beverage served.
  • Customer Service:
  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Take customer orders and process payments efficiently.
  • Answer questions about the menu, making recommendations based on customer preferences.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Workspace Maintenance:
  • Keep the coffee bar clean and organized, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning equipment, and disposing of trash.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
  • Restock supplies such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients as needed.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the manager.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.

  • Health and Safety:
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
