Position Summary:

The Café Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and beverage products while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced café environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, and the ability to maintain a clean and welcoming workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, brewed coffees, teas, and specialty beverages according to café standards.
• Calibrate espresso machines and grinders daily to ensure optimal extraction and flavor quality.
• Measure, mix, and adjust coffee recipes to maintain consistency in taste, strength, and presentation.
• Greet customers, take orders, and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, equipment, and seating spaces.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; notify management when restocking is needed.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Assist in training new staff on drink preparation and café standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous barista or café experience preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and coffee brewing methods.
• Ability to calibrate grinders, adjust extraction times, and maintain beverage consistency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
