The Test Non-Functional Head is responsible and accountable for defining the non-functional test strategy, approach, and tooling requirements necessary to execute non-functional testing. S/He is accountable for ensuring that non-functional testing capabilities are provided on time, within budget, and of the quality required to deliver business value.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

List, in order of importance, the five to six essential functions, key activities and decision-making areas of the job. It may help to specify the typical target(s) and how success will be measured for each activity.


• Collaborates with technical and business stakeholders to ensure non-functional requirements are clearly defined and are testable


• Defines and drives the non-functional test strategy for complex delivery programs and projects for both cloud and on-premise deployments


• Provides direction and guides testing efforts on several projects using waterfall and agile methodologies


• Contributes to a robust SBC test governance landscape through appropriate documenting, monitoring, and enforcement of standardized processes for testing activities


• Evaluates reports, provides analysis and expert recommendations to stakeholders

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10 years of experience in software testing, with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading a team of non-functional test engineers
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools
  • Strong knowledge of testing principles, testing processes and best practices
  • Good understanding of development and deployment processes
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
  • Knowledge and experience of various non-functional testing areas like Performance, Scalability, Security, and Availability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of common industry standards and best practices for non-functional testing
  • Knowledge of test management tools and their integration with other tools
  • Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in non-functional testing
