About the role

Isetann Department Store, a dynamic retail company, is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team in Quiapo, Manila City, Metro Manila. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in sourcing and procuring high-quality products that align with our brand's vision and customer demands.

What you'll be doing

  1. Analysing market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to identify profitable product opportunities
  2. Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms for our merchandise
  3. Collaborating with the Merchandising and Marketing teams to develop product assortments that maximise sales and profitability
  4. Monitoring inventory levels, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of products
  5. Evaluating product performance and making data-driven decisions to optimise our product mix
  6. Staying up-to-date with industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging consumer trends

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in buying or merchandising within the retail industry
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights
  3. Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  4. A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  5. Proficiency in using relevant retail software and tools, such as inventory management systems
  6. A degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field is preferred
