As a Buyer, you will be responsible in the procurement and distribution of critical raw materials and supply requirements of the trading company.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Source and develop international raw materials and undertake analysis of raw material price and supply situation to assist Management in the decision-making process
  2. Establish and maintain long-term professional business relationship with critical foreign Vendors
  3. Perform effective communication and negotiation with Vendors to ensure "Best Buy" of all procured materials, good payment terms, efficient delivery schedules and lead time
  4. Undertake administration of foreign vendor-related activities such as identification, contacting, registration, evaluation/ rating
  5. Coordinate with Corporate Purchasing to determine the requirement of Clients' raw materials, provide quarterly update of prices, confirm quantity allocation and follow up for P.O. approval
  6. Ensure proper documentation of all Purchase Order from Clients and Sales Contract from Vendors
  7. Propose shipping delivery schedule to Clients
  8. Coordinate to Vendor shipping schedule of raw materials, monitor shipment progress- departure, arrival, receiving of shipping documents, release and delivery of goods to plant
  9. Communicate shipping schedules to Logistics for schedule of shipment arrival and delivery to Client's plant for testing and receiving of cargo
  10. Provide resolution in settlement of quality or quantity issues

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Business Administration or any related course
  • With at least 2 years related work experience
  • Willing to be based in Ortigas
